Medicago lupulina or Black Medic is a native wild flower of the old world, also commonly known as nonesuch, hop clover and yellow clover trefoil.
It is usually grown as a hardy annual and is one of the flowers used in honey culture (bees love it!)
It prefers to grow in dry to moist well drained soil in full sun and is a useful addition to wildlife gardens and wildflower meadows.
Sow the seed in early spring or autumn for flowers from late spring to early autumn.
Can be mixed with other wild flower seeds to include in bee and wildlife friendly areas of the garden.
Sowing guide included.
