Traditionally a woodland plant throughout Europe and Russia. Now on the decline as habitats disappear.
A ‘must grow’ for the kitchen garden if only to help keep this lovely plant from disappearing altogether.
The growth habit is perennial, we recommend sowing in autumn or spring in situ if grown in kitchen gardens or allotments. These seeds also respond well to a period of cold stratification (3-6 weeks) prior to sowing.
Image 2 taken -7.04.2021 shows Wild Garlic pot grown for our own table. We have several pots growing in fairly shady condition in a coldframe.
We recommend spring or autumn sowing.
Sowing guide included.
